Our Goat Milking Routine

Good Morning Everyone 🙂

This is my goat milking routine.

in this video I will be milking MaBella (a meat breed) and Mary who is a Saanen Dairy goat.

The first part is setting up the milk stand in preparation for the goat with having my warm water with Modere Dishwash in it and all my clean cloths ready. Most importantly having the food there ready for her with her minerals and BioWorma.

Than we move on to getting the goat and walking her (or should I say her walk/dragging me) to the milk stand.

Next I wash down her udders, dry them off, rub her down with some coconut oil as it has anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties as well as being a good lubricant.

Now we can start milking being very careful to not allow the milk to be pushed back up the udder, see the video for a demonstration.

Once the milking is finished rinse off her udders, dry them off and apply another coat of coconut oil.

Than return her to the herd and try not to get between 2 goats as the get reacquainted LOL
